Allah is a Man

In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful

First, dear Brother, I extend congratulations on your belief in the Divine Revelation given to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. When a person is exposed to this Revelation and they accept it, know that Allah has indeed intervened in his affairs, for it is only Allah that opens the eyes.

Revelation

We must keep the Revelation of Allah to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in perspective. Revelation is Truth from Allah. However, Revelation is also characterized by the fact that it is not only Truth, but unknown Truth. Allah knows all things and when He sends Truth that no one has ever heard of before to a group of people, those people have the responsibility of 1. belief in Allah's Revelation and 2. spreading that Truth or new Knowledge. There is a requisite amount of suffering those people must endure to establish those unknown truths. Just because no one ever knew such information doesn't mean it isn't true. Suffering to establish Truth eventually gives way to wide acceptance of that Truth.

If we misunderstand the context of the Revelation, then we cannot respect the content of the Revelation. What is the context of the message from Allah to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and to us? Context means, "the set of circumstances or facts that surround a particular event, situation, etc." The "event or situation" we have to analyze is the coming of Master Fard Muhammad after our 400 year old enslavement and destruction here in North America. Let us consider the larger picture and then narrow it down. Since Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom Praises are Due Forever, is the Revealer of this message, we have to look at the reason He revealed this message, which will expose its context.

He taught us that 66 trillion years ago an event took place on our planet that resulted in the cracking of this planet into two parts; one of which we call the Moon today. From that time on, Allah has hidden His full Reality from the public until such a time that the general population could handle such knowledge responsibly. Before He did this, the people of the world knew His reality as a human being. As time passed on, aeon after aeon, millennium after millennium, the true knowledge of God faded away and morphed into myth and fantasy; subsequently, the people began to worship their own ideas of what God was.

He taught us that 50,000 years ago, one of our (Black Man) ancestors named Shabazz, who was a member of the Guardians of Divine Knowledge, known as the 24 Scientists, or the 24 Elders (Revelation 4: 4), wanted to make the strongest people ever known and that he wanted them to conquer the jungle life in East Asia (Africa). The other Scientists rejected His idea. Shabazz rebelled against the "Circle of the Gods" and took His people to East Asia anyway. He was successful in producing the strongest people the world had ever seen, what we know today as the Black Man of Africa (thick nosed, thick lipped, kinky haired). But there was a price to pay. Since he rebelled, He and His people paid the price that all rebels pay: distance from God.

The Saviour taught us that 16,000 years ago, the so-called Red man, was exiled from India for breaking the Laws of Islam. They were banished and walked to North America from Asia across the Bering Strait, which at that time was passable by foot. It has since been submerged under the Bering Sea between Russia and Alaska. They too suffered the punishment due to rebels: distance from God. We call them Indians today because Christopher Columbus was trying to reach India when he landed in North America. They were not truly the Indians he expected; however it is true that their origin is in India.

Master Fard Muhammad taught us that 6,000 years ago, 20 miles outside of Mecca Arabia, a man named Yakub was born. This man had the predetermined idea to produce a people who could conquer and rule over the Original Black Man of the world. He had to produce a people who would be attractive to the Original People yet opposite in almost every way. As with two magnets, he knew that opposites would attract. Yakub did not have the blessing of the King of the land to do this. The King had Yakub and his troublesome followers imprisoned but soon they overflowed all the prisons. Yakub struck a deal with the King to allow him and his followers to leave the country. The King agreed. Yakub took his followers, numbering 59,999 to the Island of Patmos in the Aegean Sea. He shaped and reared them with lies and killing, deceit and fear, genetic manipulation, and selective breeding. After 600 years of this he had produced a blond haired, blue eyed people who had a nature opposite the Original People. Their nature is one of distrust, fear, pain and deceit. Otherwise known as wicked.

Now, to today. Master Fard Muhammad began to teach in America 20 years after first coming to this country. The year was 1930 and He began to Reveal the True Knowledge of God that has not been known for 66 trillion years. The context of His Revelation was to expose the full truth of God to the Black Man, a rebel, The White Man, a rebel, and the Red Man, a rebel, here in North America, the land of rebellion.

He taught that Allah or God was a man and has always been a man, that is, a human being. How is that to be? We have believed in God being something else for so long, that the Truth sounds strange. To understand this one has to have a comprehensive knowledge of the natures of spirit, energy, matter and life. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad makes the argument simply and elegantly without flaw in His masterful book Message To The Blackman in America. I strongly recommend you reading it to understand God's reality.

A spirit without a body is called a ghost. A body without a spirit is called a corpse. Both are of no consequence in this life. Life is activity. Spirit cannot manifest activity in the universe without affecting the matter of the universe. Energy, or spirit, must have a "vehicle" to show its power. Electricity needs a conductor. Heat needs something to emit it. The "Spirit" of God also uses matter to manifest itself. The Bible calls man the Glory of God (1 Corinthians 15: 7). The Holy Qur'an says that of all of creation, man is created in the best mold (Sura 94: 4). It is in man, the best of creation, that the Spirit of God finds the fullest manifestation. Of all things that receive and transmit the "energy of life", human beings are the best "conductors" of the Spirit of God.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes in the Supreme Wisdom chapter 10,

"All praise is due to Allah. Allah is all of us. But we have a Supreme One that we can throw this name "Holy" upon. He is Allah, The One over all of us; The Most Supreme One, the Wisest One, the Mightiest One; The One that Sees and Hears that which we can't see and hear. That Is He. He Is rooted in all of us. Every righteous person is a god. We are all God. When we say "Allah" we mean every righteous person. Allah teaches me that He is a man -- not something that is other than man. The Holy Qur'an refers to Him in such pronouns as "He" and as "We" and as "Us."

Minister Farrakhan taught on the Spirit of God and His reality as a human being in a delivery titled "Making a Safe Community" in Phoenix, Arizona June 3, 1995. He said,

"The physical body can't hold it. This body is like copper. And the spirit in it is like electricity. Electricity is eternal, you don't know where it comes from or where its going. You capture it in copper, in gold, in silver as a conductor of that spirit. God made flesh to be a conductor of His spirit. But since the spirit is so powerful and the flesh is so weak, after a while the power of the spirit wears out the weakness of the flesh. So all flesh has to go back to the earth like the copper wire that becomes frayed and burned out. You just change the wire to conduct more electricity. So, prophets came, they died, but the Spirit of God keeps on marching. Men come and men go but the Spirit of God keeps on marching. And when God comes fully in a flesh human being, that is Mahdi, that is Messiah, that is Christ, and He comes into the world to tear it up and to set up a safe community."

Minister Farrakhan says, "when God comes fully in a flesh human being"; well, when does that happen? The Holy Qur'an Sura 98: 7 says, "Those who believe and do good, they are the best of creatures." That is such an elegant, succinct and complete description of man, the best of creation, being the best that he can be, divine man. When a human being has conquered his lower nature by putting it in proper order with his higher nature, then the spiritual war that we all feel and face daily is won. I'm talking about a person who has absolutely defeated evil in their own being and has come to fully know and embrace their divinity. Such a person can manifest God in his person.

This is the context of God's coming to the destroyed Black man and woman of America. Let's tie it all together now so you can appreciate the context of Allah's Revelation and thereby understand and defend the content of His Revelation.

Master Fard Muhammad came to us July 4, 1930 and began to teach unknown knowledge, Revelation. The Light in His Word made the Bible a book of healing instead of subjugation and opened the Holy Qur'an's wisdom to a people who'd never heard of it. Though it was unknown knowledge, His teachings bear witness to all truths taught before; and in many cases explaines truths that man has known but not understood (case in point: the book of Revelation in the Bible). But it is not enough to just Reveal the Holy Word, He had to deliver it to a people who could receive it in such a way to produce "Gods" in this world who would usher in the Hereafter or Kingdom of Allah.

We, the Black people of North America, are the perfect repository of the most Perfect Word ever Revealed to human beings. Why? After 66 trillion years of Allah's absence, 50,000 years of rebellion, 6,000 years of oppression by evil itself, and 400 years of the worst destruction known to man, we are in the unique position to know the absolute fullness of human evil and righteousness. We have experienced the full spectrum of human spiritual capability: from being the most evil to the most holy. And it is in such a position that Allah can use us to create the people of Heaven; a people with the capacity for physical perfection (thank you Shabazz!), and spiritual perfection (thank you Satan!).

Is God a man? Yes, brother. David the psalmist says, "I have said, Ye are gods, and ye are all the children of the Most High." Psalms 82: 7. Jesus commands his followers, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect." Matthew 5: 48 The Holy Qur'an calls Allah "the Best Knower", Sura 2: 1 He is called "Most Merciful" and "the Most High" These are appellations of comparison. We learn in mathematics that we can only compare like terms, so if Allah is the Best Knower, who are the other Knowers of whom He is the Best? He is Most Merciful; who are the others who are also merciful? The "others" are the best of creation, the glory of God, human beings. So Allah is called the Supreme Being. He is higher than all of the other beings, but there are other beings. This is what the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said in Our Saviour Has Arrived. "Allah is all of us. But we have a Supreme One that we can throw this name "Holy" upon."

I pray to Allah that this little article helps your understanding brother and inspires you to study Allah's Word with these points in mind. Ask Him for His guidance, He will bless you.

I am your brother,

Bro. Scott A. Muhammad
